Privacy Policy for StreamRio

StreamRio provides browser-source animated mascot overlays for live streamers. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you visit streamrio.com, create an account, connect streaming platforms, configure overlay rules, or subscribe to StreamRio Pro.

Data Controller

StreamRio is operated by Yang Zhenbo, an individual based in China. Yang Zhenbo is the data controller responsible for the personal information described in this Policy. For privacy requests, contact paul@streamrio.com.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create or use a StreamRio account, we may collect your name, email address, profile image, authentication provider identifiers, account settings, and support messages.

Streaming Platform Connections

If you connect Twitch or save a TikTok LIVE username, we may store platform identifiers, display names, usernames, avatar URLs, access tokens or connection metadata needed to receive supported live events, and live status information.

Overlay Configuration and Usage

We store the characters, rules, reactions, overlay URLs, test events, playback state, and related configuration you create in StreamRio. We may also process event payloads from connected platforms so your overlay can react to follows, subscriptions, Bits, raids, gifts, likes, chat messages, shares, viewer joins, and similar live stream events.

Billing Information

PayPal payments are processed by PayPal. Card and supported digital-wallet payments are sold and processed by Waffo Pancake, which acts as the reseller and Merchant of Record for those transactions. We store order records, plan status, product identifiers, subscription identifiers, billing email, payment status, and limited payment metadata needed to manage access to StreamRio Pro. Full card numbers and card security codes are processed by Waffo Pancake and are not stored on StreamRio servers.

Technical and Usage Information

We may collect IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, feature usage, error logs, performance logs, and cookies or similar technologies to operate, secure, and improve StreamRio.

How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Provide, secure, and maintain StreamRio accounts and overlays
  • Connect supported Twitch and TikTok LIVE events to user-configured reactions
  • Process checkout, subscriptions, trials, renewals, and billing status
  • Provide dashboard previews, test reactions, and production browser-source overlay URLs
  • Prevent abuse, protect private overlay links, debug issues, and monitor reliability
  • Respond to support requests and send service-related messages
  • Improve StreamRio features, performance, and onboarding

Sharing of Information

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers that help us operate StreamRio, including hosting, database, payment processing, authentication, storage, email, analytics, alerting, and streaming event infrastructure providers. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect StreamRio, or to investigate abuse or security incidents.

Cookies

StreamRio may use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, session management, preferences, analytics, and security. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but some product features may not work correctly without them.

Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy:

  • Account information, Overlay configuration, and platform connection settings are retained while your account is active and are deleted or anonymized within 30 days after a verified account-deletion request, except where another retention period below applies.
  • Payment, subscription, invoice, refund, and tax-related records may be retained for up to 7 years after the relevant transaction to meet accounting, tax, fraud-prevention, and legal obligations.
  • Support requests and related communications may be retained for up to 2 years after the last interaction.
  • Security, access, performance, and error logs may be retained for up to 12 months.
  • Identifiable analytics data may be retained for up to 26 months. Aggregated or anonymized statistics that can no longer identify a user may be retained longer.

We may retain specific records longer when required by law, needed to resolve a dispute, prevent fraud or abuse, or enforce our agreements. You may contact us to request account deletion or data access where applicable.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including access controls and encrypted transport. No internet service can guarantee complete security, so please keep your account credentials and overlay URLs private.

International Processing

StreamRio may process and store information in countries other than your own. By using StreamRio, you understand that your information may be processed where our service providers operate.

Children's Privacy

StreamRio is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Third-Party Services

StreamRio integrates with third-party services such as Twitch, TikTok LIVE-related providers, OBS-compatible browser sources, payment processors, and hosting providers. Their own privacy policies apply to their services.

StreamRio is not affiliated with or endorsed by Twitch, TikTok, OBS, Streamlabs, or TikTok LIVE Studio.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of StreamRio after changes means you accept the updated policy.
